Welcome to the HIS Library

The library is on the third floor and is open to all HIS students,    staff, parents as well as Friends of the Library.
The library holds about 12,000 titles and has Encyclopedia Britannica Online.

Library Self Check-Out

Now you can check out books from the library very easily at any time,

Library Rules

The library is open to HIS students, parents, faculty, staff and Friends of the Library.
Patrons may borrow up to three items at a time.
One week for K – 5th grade students
Two weeks for 6th – 12th grade students, parents and Friends of the Library.
Replacement costs for lost or badly damaged items are fixed.  ¥4,000 for a hardback book and ¥2,000 for a paperback books and other items.

Note: All items for Early Years students are to be checked out by their parents.


Friends of the Library

Persons not directly involved with HIS but wishing to use the library on a regular basis can pay an annual fee of ¥3,000 to obtain a library card enabling them to check out three items for two weeks at a time. One renewal may be made by phone.
