Seasonal School Teachers.

Karin Prygocki

I am originally from Connecticut, U.S.A. I am a graduated from Yale University and have taught at international schools in the U.A.E., India, Kuwait and Japan. Presently, I am taking a gap year to study, volunteer, travel, and visit friends around the world. I love to read and bike and cannot wait to practice my craft with the good folks of Niseko.

Winse Heyward

I started skiing in West Virginia, learning initially from my Dad, before moving on to Snowshoe Mountain's race program. The coaching I received at a young age helped make for a smooth transition into then coaching and instructing others. I first instructed for Keystone, Colorado's River Run Kids Program, spending my entire first season with 3-5 year olds. I followed friends down to Wanaka, New Zealand to train for certification levels at Treble Cone with New Zealand Ski Instructors Association Demonstration team member Garrett Shore and his team of trainers. I was first introduced to and trained with Steve Smart and JF Beaulieu of the Canadian Ski Instructors Association Demonstration team this first summer of 2007. I returned to Colorado the following two Northern hemisphere winters to work for Vail's Golden Peak Adult Ski School out of Mid Vail teaching adult group and private lessons of intermediate level and above. During this season I became fully certified as a Professional Ski Instructors of America Level 3 in the Rocky Mountain Division. I was also involved with the Vail Devo program for area kids to come train with the same instructor for most weekends during the season in the discipline of their choice. My kids trained in big mountain freesking and moguls. I returned to New Zealand in between both of these winters to train exclusively with Steve Smart and JF Beaulieu on a path towards the CSIA Level 4. I would achieve the Level 4 Ski portion two years later having also become qualified as a Canadian Ski Coach Federation Level 2 as a prerequisite. I felt the need for a change after my pursuit for qualifications, and was hired by Niseko Village Snowsports School to train their instructors and teach guests. I spent 3 seasons there before finally deciding to give it a go at running my own ski school with a fellow trainer from NVSS, Norris Scott. I'm thankful for the opportunity to operate a private ski school in the world's best powder destination. I’ll do whatever I can to pass on the training I've received to ensure the best possible experience on snow.
