HIS 60th Anniversary Film

Hokkaido International School: The Steel, the Concrete and the Community

For over a year, HIS has been working with LHK Visionworks, to produce a promotional film for the new dormitory and for our 60th anniversary.

The 33 min. the film is finally complete and we are very excited to screen it for our community. The film was previewed by Executive Board members this past weekend and the next step is to show it to our school community.

The first viewing will take place before Winter Celebration at 13:10 in the Multipurpose Room of the school. Please come and join this exciting journey through the school’s history to the recent completion of the new dorm facility and on to a glimpse of the future for HIS.

  From the Principal’s Office

Happy Holidays!  Wishing the students, parents and staff of HIS a very happy holidays!  Looking forward to seeing everyone again in the new year!

 Sports

Thew MS boys had great fun at the Kobe Tournament last weekend at Marist IS. Although very inexperienced they showed great spirit and endeavour in all their games which culminated in a well deserved victory against the Fukuoka Sharks. They all showed great improvement and a growing self confidence. Congratulations to Hut who was named our MVP. I always want to thank Coaches William and Joshua for their guidance, encouragement, patience and support during all the practices and the games at the tournament. I know that we have some very keen and capable payers of the future.
