Welcome to HIS

About Hokkaido International School

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dear Hokkaido International School Community,

We are very pleased to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year; the HIS staff has been working hard to prepare for another exciting year of learning.  Now more than ever, the world needs the kind of people our school nurtures--people who have lived out the HIS vision of mindful leadership and learning through academic pursuit, character development, and global engagement.

Starting on our first day of classes, August 20th, we will be running a regular full-day school schedule (8:30 - 3:30).  After consultation with public health experts and collaboration with the Japan Council of International Schools, we have completed an update of our Covid-19 health and safety protocols (shared with all families via email).  With these precautions in place, we feel confident that we can provide a safe in-person academic experience.

We would like to invite the entire HIS community--while at work, at school, or at home--to work together to prevent the spread of Covid-19 by avoiding “The Three Cs”  (click here for more information).  By doing so, we will show our care for one another and collectively minimize the risk of school closure.

Again, we want to warmly welcome you to the new school year.  It is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with your students, and we will work hard to inspire them on a daily basis.

Sincerely yours,
Tim Schlosser
Head of School

Where to find free Ebooks

Probably there are a few different ways of doing this but it is recommended that you get the free e-book management application Calibre (https://calibre-ebook.com/). Calibre allows you to store, in an organized ma [...]
